8th to HS Transition Performance & Skills Development

The BriceBuilt 8th to HS Transition Program is designed specifically for rising 8th-grade athletes preparing for the demands of high school basketball. This comprehensive program combines elite basketball skill development with performance training to help athletes enter their freshman season stronger, faster, more confident, and game ready.

Each session focuses on building the complete high school player through:

  • Advanced ball handling and decision-making

  • Game-speed shooting and scoring techniques

  • Finishing through contact

  • Defensive footwork and on-ball pressure

  • Basketball IQ and situational play

  • Strength, speed, agility, and explosiveness

  • Conditioning and injury prevention

Coed Skills & Open Play Fridays

Incoming 7th & 8th Grades

The Coed Skills & Open Play Fridays program is designed to help athletes sharpen their basketball fundamentals before immediately applying them in live game situations. Each session begins with focused skill development, followed by structured open play that encourages creativity, decision-making, and competitive growth in a supervised environment.

Players will spend the first portion of the session working on fundamental skills such as ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, passing, and defensive techniques. The second half transitions into competitive games where athletes are encouraged to apply what they've learned through game-speed play, giving them more touches, more decisions, and more opportunities to develop confidence. This blend of skill work and free play reflects widely used player development approaches that emphasize both instruction and game application.

Athletes Will Develop:

  • Ball handling and offensive creativity

  • Shooting confidence and consistency

  • Footwork and finishing techniques

  • Basketball IQ and decision-making

  • Competitive confidence in live play

  • Communication and teamwork

  • Leadership and sportsmanship

Session Format:

  • 15–20 minutes: Skill development and instructional drills

  • 40–45 minutes: Supervised open play, competitive games, and situational play

Developing Acceleration, Power & Speed (DAPS826)

Grades 6–High School

The Developing Acceleration, Power & Speed (DAPS826) program is designed to help athletes become faster, more explosive, and more efficient movers on the court or field. Through a progressive training system, athletes will improve their first-step quickness, sprint mechanics, change-of-direction ability, jumping power, and overall athletic performance.

Each session combines proven speed development principles with age-appropriate strength and power training to maximize athletic potential while emphasizing proper movement mechanics and injury prevention. Research and coaching best practices consistently highlight sprint mechanics, acceleration work, plyometrics, and strength development as key components for improving athletic speed and explosiveness. Athletes Will Develop:

  • Explosive first-step acceleration

  • Linear speed and sprint mechanics

  • Multi-directional speed and agility

  • Deceleration and change-of-direction control

  • Vertical and horizontal power production

  • Lower-body strength and force application

Mondays & Wednesdays | 3:00–4:00 PM | August 3–26

Take your shooting to the next level with BriceBuilt's Coed Elite Shooting Clinic. This high-intensity program is designed for players who want to become more confident, consistent, and efficient scorers.

Athletes will develop:

  • Proper shooting mechanics and consistency

  • Footwork for game-speed shot creation

  • Catch-and-shoot and off-the-dribble shooting

  • Finishing after the shot fake and attacking closeouts

  • Range, accuracy, and shot confidence

  • Competitive shooting drills and game-like repetitions

This camp is designed for players who are serious about improving their game, building confidence, and competing at a higher level. Throughout the week, athletes will focus on: • Skill development (ball handling, shooting, footwork, finishing)• Game IQ and decision-making• Competitive drills and live gameplay• Strength, speed, and agility training• Leadership, discipline, and confidence building •Daily games. Skills challenges. Shooting contests. 1v1 & 3v3 tournaments Our mission is simple: help every player leave better than they arrived. Whether your child is just starting out or preparing for middle school, high school, or AAU basketball, this camp will challenge them, develop them, and push them in a positive, high-energy environment.
